Riviera del Conero

Mount Conero, the core of the homonym Regional Park, represents the only and unique relief in sheer drop over the Adriatic sea, from Trieste up to Gargano.
Such a mount, which is a pride for our region, is in symbiosis with Ancona and with Numana and Sirolo sea resorts. The Park was established in 1987, but has been subjected to a specific management only since 1991.
This natural oasis is set in 5800 hectares of protected area and includes 18 nature trails which stretch among "corbezzolo" trees, brooms, holm oaks and pines which are only some of the many trees which constitute the Mediterranean maquis and which represent one-third of the entire protected wildlife of the Marche region.

Portonovo bay, Due Sorelle beach, "Belvedere nord", "Pian Grande" and "Pian dei Raggetti" are the most evocative and interesting places in the Park, together with important art examples, such as Santa Maria church in Portonovo and San Pietro al Conero church.
